I am interested in creating kiln-formed art glass collections that highlight a particular color field and that are striking in composition. I especially enjoy working with inlaid mosaic imagery. Collections are powerful and familiar, evoking friendship and a sense of place.
My series of plates and platters work well in combination with each other. Applying sheets of glass, tints and fine line work, these art glass collections provide harmonious, serene and brilliant hues. The appealing "duomo" collection (duomo is Italian for cathedral) began to appear as a reoccurring visual narrative. Then my son's interest in bees and beehives seemed to take form inside the duomo and a distinct shape emerged.
